The sun might not be shining but sales of convertible vehicles rose by 21% between January and August.
Topping the best sellers list was the Peugeot 206 CC, the car that brought the electric folding roof to the volume car market at a very affordable price. Since its introduction in 2001, a total of 32,798 cars have been sold. With 6,317 vehicles in the first eight months of 2004, sales of the Peugeot 206 CC are up 5.4% over the same period in 2003.
The Peugeot 206 CC is the only vehicle of the top three selling models which continues to increase its sales.
Available in two trim levels and with either a 1.6 litre or 2.0 litre petrol engine, the Peugeot 206 CC remains the favourite vehicle with the UK convertible buying public.
